The Life Behind The Artist

Derrick Jones aka Jones is an up and coming Rap Artist who has been rapping and songwriting since age 11. As a youngster Jones would use writing and rapping as a way to deal with a life that was plaqued by unstable parents and having to witness Drug Abuse, Alcoholism, and Domestic Violence. As Jones
moved from foster home to foster home he continued writing songs to block out the reality that he was without his mother, father, and his 11 siblings. His love and desire for music contiued to grow. By age 13 Jones had written a number of original songs and would perform them at local school talent shows. Jones would feel at his best when he was on stage. Now 23yrs. old, Jones spends countless hours in the recording studio writing and recording his creations as well as writing songs for other area rap artist. Jones has grown from a troubled youth to become a hardworking, respectful, and dedicated young man and recording artist on a mission for the world to hear his music.
